April is National Fair Housing Month
National Fair Housing Month is observed to commemorate the 1968 Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination in renting, buying, or financing housing based on race, color, religion, sex, familial status, or national origin. April highlights the ongoing need to eliminate housing discrimination, foster inclusive communities, and ensure equal access to safe housing.
The Cortland Housing Authority is dedicated to providing fair housing for all without discrimination, providing equal opportunities to affordable and safe living.
